Myanmar (Burma) is a little known favorite of travel photographers from around the globe. With its beautiful landscapes, traditional Buddhist culture, and temples, which are both spectacular in size and numbers, makes for a perfect photo destination.

Bordered by China, Laos, Thailand, Bangladesh and the Bay of Bengal, Myanmar is positioned squarely in the middle of Southeast Asia.
Join travel guide Karen Hogue and myself for several days of discovery and learning. This will be my first time to Myanmar and I'm very excited about it. To make sure this journey is the best it can be I've enlisted the help of a Karen, an experienced tour leader in this country to help guide us through this spectacular country. Between the two of us, and our in-country guides, we should have your every question and need attended to.
I'm looking forward to creating my own images in the iconic areas of Bagan, Inle Lake, Shwe Dagon Pagoda and U Bein Bridge. But beyond those cornerstones lay the smaller subjects; colorful street markets, intimate temples and friendly local peoples. It’s these “smaller” moments that are most likely to be the most memorable and most photogenic of the journey.
